1 Month To Go!

Matt and I are so excited! We close on our 1st home in a month! Yayayayaya! There are no words that I could type to explain how stinkin' excited I am about this...

The inspection went well, a few things were requested to be fixed, nothing too big. We should have an appraisal this coming week. Then I don't know what else will happen but our awesome real estate agent is helping us step by step.

I go back to work tomorrow, just 1/2 days for the next two weeks, small group instruction to earn a little extra money. Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

Successful Saturday

This morning I had a yard sale and it was quite successful except for the rain that hit about 9am! But no worries, I was able to sell A LOT in 2 hours (and then hung around till 10:30am and sold a bit more). Did not sell everything so I boxed it back up to try again next month when Matt and I move, so we can include that stuff too.

And by the way, Happy Birthday Quinn and Dylan!

Another T-Shirt Quilt

Shelia's T-Shirt Blanket is complete! This one is sooooo cuddly!

This is 20 of Andrew and Shelia's shirts combined to make a snuggly couch throw. This blanket has no batting in the middle but instead is lined with flannel to make it extra comfy. The shirts have been hand tacked at every corner. I hope to get this to Shelia sometime soon and I really hope that she loves it!

Friday Friend 16- Our Accepted Home Offer!

Today Matt and I got the call we've been waiting for... we are homeowners (well almost)! We now enter all the contracts and inspections and all that jive but we should be in our new home by the end of October! We are so excited!

Here are some pictures that we wanted to share...


Isn't it cute! I just love the landscaping and red door!


This first pic is the view when you walk in, both show the living room complete with fireplace and hardwood floors.


Here's the kitchen! Don't you think my Fiestaware will look great in here? In the first picture you can see the doorway that leads to a "mud room" where the washer and dryer is located and the door to the garage.


Master bedroom with a tray ceiling. Wanna know the best part of this room? His and Hers closets! One is a HUGE walk-in... hopefully mine ;) The master bathroom is beautiful, with a deep tub and separate shower stall.


Here are the other 2 bedrooms. Can you tell they were out growing this house? A little paint will make these rooms much better for Matt and I.


Check out this backyard! Nice deck off the back and the whole yard is fenced in for Dutch! Can't wait to get a grill!

Thursday Night TV Review

Listen... I do not know know what you do on Thursday night but unless it is sitting in front of your TV from 8-10 watching NBC then you need to change your routine.

Tonight was the start to the new TV season of my favorite show, The Office. But NBC brought some new life to Thursday night with a couple other great shows...


SNL Weekend Update Thursday

Um, hello? You know I love SNL, you know I love Amy Poehler, you know I love humor on current events. Perfect. Watch it, you will laugh out loud... REALLY! (if you saw the show, you would get that joke)


Parks and Rec

Okay, I do love Amy Poehler but this show is my least favorite of the 2 hour block. Some funny parts, but as an overall plot that I care to follow whole heartedly... not really. I do watch though because I am already on the couch and I like it there.


The Office

Season 6 starts out awesomely! *Spoiler Alert* If you didn't see the show, and you do not want to know what happened... quit reading... now. So Jim and Pam announce to the office about Pam's pregnancy, thanks to Michael's rumor mill. Stanley is having an affair and according to Dwight low cheek bones make you trustable. Can't WAIT for next week!


Community

New show, and I have to say that I like it. Chevy Chase is very funny, Joel McHale is great (love him on The Soup) and the other cast of characters add to the hilarity. I will defiantly tune in next week.

And for my most Favorite part on the new Thursday night... drumroll please...


I have always hated ER and I am SO glad it is not on the air anymore!!!

I Fought The Table and The Table Won...

Check out what I did yesterday at work...

Yeah, I almost broke both feet... awesome.

Here's what happened. School was over and I wanted to extend the legs on my horseshoe shaped reading table. So I thought I would just flip it over real quick. Half way through flipping it over, it slipped on the tile and fell on top of my feet. Scraped off a great deal of skin on both feet and well hurt like everything.

So I went to the nurses station and was then sent to the urgent care, where I had 6 xrays because we were all worried that at least the left foot was in fact broken, if not both. But all xrays came back that nothing was broken, yes! Just very bad swelling, which is turning into very bad bruising... yuck. I also the new owner of some shiny new crutches, fun fun.

Handsome! It is SO much easier to go to work when someone else is getting ready to go to work! Haha! Matt said he really enjoyed his day and thinks that he is really going to love being a lawyer.
