Matt's New Car

Here is Matt's New Ride! It is a 2006 Nissan Altima in Nautica Blue with Black Leather Interior. Complete with Sunroof, 6 disc CD changer with Bose speaker, and controls on the steering wheel. Its our first "big purchase" as Mr. and Mrs. and neither one of us has ever had a car payment... so here's to new things!

We have been all over the place looking for a new stereo system and tint. I think the windows will be tinted Monday and a new stereo put in whenever we get in the the steering wheel component we ordered. So look forward to more pictures soon!

So Sorry

Yes, I know... there is no Friday friend. I am very sorry. We have been car hunting all week and not getting home till late and the blog suffered for it. Please forgive me, especially the blog fan that texted me to bring up the fact that the blog had not been updated...

But on a positive note... Matt got a car! I will post pictures tomorrow!

Car Shopping

Matt and I went car shopping today. Matt needs a new vehicle, his Jeep is on its last leg. We are not buying right now but rather looking at what he likes and then start price hunting for the best deal on that car. We are buying pre-owned, since there are a lot of nice pre-owned cars right now at mega deals!

So does anyone have a Nissan Altima or Honda Accord they are trying to sell?

Matt took this with his cell phone, nice Vanna pose eh?

Happy Birthday Nema!

Today is my grandma's 82nd birthday! Happy Birthday Nema! My grandma is a very special person, not only to me but to everyone she knows! I grew up spending every weekend and summer at her house, learning tons of things. My Nema is the one that taught me to quilt and sew, how to make salmon patties and apple turn overs. She is where I get my love for vintage things, and animals. She amazes me with her green thumb and big heart. Happy Birthday Nema!

Relay for Life

Friday was Relay for Life for Lee County. Tramway had a hair spray booth, which was a HUGE success! I am really proud of my school, I work with a wonderful group of people who are always so giving. At Tramway we have three 4th grade boys who are cancer survivors! It was awesome to see them do their survivor lap.

Matt and I walked from 5:30-6:30 and helped run the Tramway booth from 6:30-7:00. At 7pm they did the survivor lap, each person that was a cancer survivor had their name read aloud before they walked. It was a real eye opener. There were so many people walking.... men, women, seniors, children... cancer doesn't have favorites. And then I thought to myself, "This isn't even everyone in our town that has dealt with this" the number is staggering.

There is a nice article in today's Sanford Herald about the three boys at Tramway with cancer. They are truly amazing kids to have battled (and beat) cancer at such a young age.

Here are a few pictures from Relay for Life, because a blog post isn't a blog post without pictures. I did edit the pictures so that people that I didn't know weren't all over the internet without their approval.

Friday Friend 3

This weeks Friday friend is someone totally awesome....

Anna Steen!

Anyone that comes up to me at a Cookout and starts talking about Wordless Wednesday is amazing in my book! Anna you totally blew Matt's mind! He thinks that no one every reads the blog! Thank you for proving him wrong!!! I love it!

Anna is married to Matt's good friend Quinn (I know ironic). They are both pretty rad people, but Quinn you didn't come up to me and talk about the blog, Anna did so therefore she is the Friday friend!

I hope that we can hang out more this summer!

Surprise!

In honor of Matt graduation I had a surprise party at the house. Boy was Matt surprised!

This is at about 10am Saturday morning. I had to tell Matt then because I had a tent set up. So then Dad brought over the tables and chairs and we set them up while Mom was picking up the food. We started at 5pm and last well into the night.

I had the most awesome cake ever made for Matt...

Here are some pictures of all the fun!

It was a great time... serial.

(That picture was for you Sarah!)

Matthew D. Quinn, J.D.

He did it. Matt is official a graduate! I am so proud I could just burst!

Matt also won a few awards at graduation. The one I am most proud of is the Robert A. Jenkins cash award. This award goes to the student whose work in various competitions or other areas best represent the School of Law to the community, the profession, and the public. He also won the Order of Old Kivett Award for exemplary representation in advocacy competitions while maintaining the highest ethical standards. Way to go Matt!

Here are some pictures from the ceremony...

Then of course we had to take a million pictures with everyone!

Way to go Campbell Law School Class of 2009!
