Couch to 5k: Week 1, Day 1

Today's workout consisted of:
Brisk five-minute warmup walk. Then alternate 60 seconds of jogging and 90 seconds of walking for a total of 20 minutes. Five-minute cooldown walk.
Total Distance: 2.6 miles

I really like this program. I totally recommend it over at the app store on iTunes. It is C25K, and it is like 2.99. Awesome!

Walmart/TJMaxx provided the bulk of my running gear:
Danskin at Walmart is comfy and inexpensive, here are a few tops I picked up:


We are talking about $7-$10, with built in sport bras! DEAL! I also picked up a BOMB tie dye running tank, and a few others from TJMaxx at less that $12 each. I already had black and gray shorts, plus capris.

Shoes: 2 pairs of running shoes from Rack Room (BOGO Half Price) for $55.00!

Technology:

Armband for iPhone so I can run the C25k Program.

Headphones:

With microphone in case a phone call HAS to be answered or made. $12 at TJMaxx (they want $40 at the Apple Store)

Pedometer: Dollar Store!
