2 hour delayed Workday
Well, here's another day we gotta make up! Geez! And they are calling for more winter weather this weekend.... ugh ugh ugh.
At least we got a lot done today, I feel good about all the work that I was able to do on this workday. I feel planned for the rest of this week and next... score!
Anyways, I wanted to share this little gem that Amy S. shared with me...

I am sorry I have been away... I was reprimanded by a blog reader today (you're right Sarah, I am slack). So here's a quick recap of the past few days, I think you will understand why there has not been a lot of time to blog...

Surrounded By Boxes...
Matt and I have packed everything, except for unplugging the internet and cable (can't deal without technology that long). We move on Tuesday! :) So Excited!
Anyways, many of you know that I have been looking on Craigslist for a hutch and kitchen table. Well no luck yet, but I have found some hilarious stuff that I thought I would share:
Yard Swing
Really? Free?
Pimp Cup
Makes A Great Point

Furniture Findings
It is well known that I love Craigslist and that I love looking on Craigslist for random things. Looking at all the houses we have looked at had made me start thinking about furniture and ways to set up houses. So I turned to Craigslist. Now let me inform you guys that you would NOT believe what people will a)try to sell b)will buy and c)think is awesome. Here is some of the best ones I have ran across tonight...
Queen Bedroom Suite only $400... I wonder if the blanket is included?
What is up with that middle cushion?
1986 called they want their bed back
Priced to move.... really?
Why is a car in the living room?

Filipino Prisoners Pay Tribute To MJ
The Filipino Prisoners doing the "Thriller" dance has been a YouTube hit for years now, I in fact watched it again with friends this weekend. Well upon hearing the news that Michael Jackson had passed the prisoners practiced nine hours on Friday night and into the early morning hours of Saturday according to the USA Today.
So here you go. Nathan K, I dedicate this video to you and your love of MJ music and choreographed prison dancing: The Filipino Prisoners Pay Tribute To Michael Jackson
And just in case you missed it, the original Filipino Prisoners Do "Thriller"

Dear Super Walmart...
Dear Super Walmart,
I am on to what you are doing. You cannot fool me. I am aware of your tricks. When your new store arrived I went in and the first thing that I noticed is that you have gotten rid of your hand shopping baskets. How dare you!
Well I thought I was the only person to notice this, but no! There are a ton of angry shoppers on the interwebs that have notice this as well. You see here is the deal: Walmart got rid of their hand baskets and have introduced GIANT shopping carts, which they think if you are pushing it you will fill it to the brim. Well guess what Walmart, not this chick. I will walk around with crap spilling out of my arms before I will push one of your godzilla sized shopping carts. Which translates into me buying less. Jerks.
But guess what... I have one up'd you Walmart! The Container Store feels my pain and offers these wonderful little shopping baskets in awesome colors, they also collapse for easy storage. I ordered 2.

Now when I buy what I need to buy I will not need a huge cart, or your plastic bags!
Sincerely,
Disgruntled Shopper
PS: Hey atleast I didn't do this:

I Love Craigslist
Dear Blog Fans,
As most of you know I love Craigslist. I know it has gotten a bad rap, with the murders and all, but dang what deals! I have bought many things from craigslist. A kitchen booth direct from a deli, a quilting table, an abundance of fabric and other wonderful odds and ends. But Craigslist is not only for buying/selling/trading, it is pure entertainment.
Check out the things I have found:
Want to be Lil' Wayne for a day?

Living in Sin Sale (May be the funniest post ever)
http://www.craigslist.org/about/best/stl/1122338452.html
Cockatiel for Wedding Ring
http://www.craigslist.org/about/best/ksc/1147985197.html
Orange Juice
http://www.craigslist.org/about/best/gbo/984476074.html
Free Broken Time Machine
http://www.craigslist.org/about/best/nyc/745957971.html
Can you tell that I am truly enjoying summer break?

Michael Jordan to the Rescue
As most of you know, I read a lot of blogs. I mean a lot. Matt and I both do, but his are always about the law and politics and mine are more, well, random.
Here is one I hit up daily: http://www.mentalfloss.com/blogs/
Well guess what I found on there today!? A way to save the world...
So you know everyone is all freaked out about this guy

Kim Jong-il
But here are so fasanting facts I found our about the dictator...
The world’s most feared dictator is a hoops junkie. During a 2000 visit, then-Secretary of State Madeleine Albright presented him a basketball signed by Michael Jordan. The Chicago Bulls are the favorite team of Kim Jong-il, who reportedly has a video library with every game Jordan ever played. At 5′3″, the Supreme Commander of the Korean People’s Army is roughly the same height as Mugsy Bogues. (cut and pasted from www.mentalfloss.com/blogs)
So this got me thinking back to a conversation Matt and I had about Kim, that he is a raging alcoholic... so thanks to wiki I found out even more!
So anyways, here is what I think we should do. Get Michael Jordan and Elizabeth Taylor to take Kim a blu-ray player and a subscription to NetFlix. Bam, happy dictator! I mean, he would have to behave if he had all that technology and choice at his finger tips! How could he possibly have time to threaten the world then? Hey Barack, this advice is free, but the next session is gonna cost ya.

- Has a fear of flying
- Has a large VHS collection, 20,000 tapes.
- Loves Elizabeth Taylor movies
- Is the author of the book, On the Art of the Cinema
- Is an avid golfer, often getting 3 or 4 holes-in-one per round!
- Has composed 6 operas
- Refers to himself as an "internet expert"

Yes Pecan!
I love ice cream! This is a fact that most people know about me. I also love clever names for things, so therefore I love Ben and Jerry's. Americone Dream is my favorite flavor, and I also really enjoy Chunky Monkey and Phish Food. But now I can have a big scoop of Yes Pecan!
Yay America!
