Help Haiti

There have been lots of rumors on the internet the past few days saying that UPS would ship any box under 50 pounds to Haiti for free or that American and JetBlue would fly any nurse or doctor to Haiti for free. Sadly, none of these are true.

If you want to help, there are many ways to do so:

By Texting:
The Obama adminstation setup a way to text a donation to the Red Cross. Just text HAITI to 90999 on your cell phone, this gives $10 to the Red Cross, a charge that will appear on your cell phone bill. In just 2 days 5 million dollars has been raised!

In Our Area:
There are local church groups in our area going to Haiti to help provide relief. You know giving a monetary donation to these groups would actually go to the people of Haiti.
