I think if you asked Matt or I where we would want to live, if we could live wherever we wanted, we would both say Boone. I know I would. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think about this place and long to be back there. With all these kids starting college, it made me wish that I would have taken the 7 year plan...

Back To The Drawing Board

Well, Matt and I did not get the first house we put an offer on. We made our offer Tuesday afternoon and on Wednesday we got a counter offer. No worries, we were told this is how home buying works. So we talked about it and decided we needed a little more time to think of what to come back with. Well Thursday morning we get a phone call that another buyer was going to make an offer on the house by close of business Thursday. We were skeptical... and decided we would wait it out and see what happened. At 5:30pm on Thursday we received a call that the sellers did in fact get another offer, and our Realtor wanted to know if we would like to go ahead and make another offer. So we took a little time, called her back and made our final offer. We wanted to go ahead and say, "This is it, this is the best we can do. We are not going to get in a bidding war with someone else".

And we did not get the house.

So back to square one, but with more knowledge on how this process works. What these sellers thought was that they had our perfect house, they in fact did not. Matt and I really liked this house but there were somethings that we did not really love, so it was just not meant for us.

Friday Friend 14

Fondue is this weeks Friday Friend!


Matt and I decided to make a cheese fondue and then a broth for cooking veggies and meats. It was delicious!

We Did It...

We made an offer on a house today! We are so excited! Our Realtor Lisa (see Friday Friend) said we should hear something by 5pm tomorrow! So now we wait for the phone to ring...

Matt's New Office

Spent a good chunk of Saturday helping Matt set up him office, I think we moved around 300 books...
