Whew!

Hey Blog Fans!

Sorry I have been MIA. We've moved, we were without internet for awhile and well we were busy! :) But I'm baaaaaaaaaaaaaack.... let's look at the past few days.

Tuesday: Let's see... we signed our closing paperwork in the morning and moved all of our furniture and things Tuesday day/night. We had a lot of help from a lot of people: Big Thanks to: Daddy, Rhonda, Patti, Mike, Gmom and Gpa Quinn, Mom, Nema, Alex and Dylan! We couldn't have done it without you guys!
Got our Master Bedroom set-up first so we could get a good nights sleep!

Wednesday: Stayed at home thanks to a very late night and achy back. Matt and Daddy got the TV in the house and all of our clothes.

Thursday: Back to work and 1,001 Books Night at School. Back home to have cable and internet hooked up! Yes!

Friday: Work, then out to the sticks to clean the rental house and turn in the keys. Rushed home to meet Matt's mom and dad for dinner for Rick's Bday. Had a lovely dinner at a great Italian place in the area. When we got back from dinner I went to Super Walmart and bought paint and painting supplies.

Saturday: My sister Rhonda was knocking on my door at 8am to start painting. We had to run to Walmart to get a few things that I forgot the night before (like a sanding block because the patched holes were not sanded down). We got both spare rooms painted and 2 dog doors installed (Mom and Daddy came and helped with that).

So now Matt and I are passing out Halloween candy and meeting the neighbors. We are lucky, in our cul-da-sac we have some great neighbors. Everyone I have met has been so friendly and helpful! I feel like this is going to be a great neighborhood for us :)

Moving Tomorrow!

Tomorrow is the big move! I am so excited! We are all boxed up and ready to fill that Uhaul in the morning! :) Thought I would share some pictures of what the house looks like in boxes...

That's a lot of stuff...

Even more stuff...

I am afraid that boxes that Matt packed look somewhat like this... who am I kidding, forget "somewhat" change that to all of the boxes Matt packed look JUST like this!

Surrounded By Boxes...

Matt and I have packed everything, except for unplugging the internet and cable (can't deal without technology that long). We move on Tuesday! :) So Excited!

Anyways, many of you know that I have been looking on Craigslist for a hutch and kitchen table. Well no luck yet, but I have found some hilarious stuff that I thought I would share:

Cake Class

Tonight was the last night of cake decorating class. I think my cake turned out well, even though the teacher said my icing could have been smoother. Oh well, it is what it is and I wasn't spending 5 hours on it. Seriously some people spent many many hours on their cake. It took me 1 hour to decorate plus the time to bake it... bam.

This is my cake. I liked it. Simple cute design. I do not like the borders but they were very last minute (we were being timed, we only had an hour to complete our cakes). You could bring in pre-made things from home to decorate your cake with, but I chose to not do any of the roses or sugar flowers. Everyone besides Amy and I brought in pre-made pieces.

This is Amy's cake. I wish I had a picture of the side of it. Amy had little fish and corral all along the sides...

I really like the way Amy used cookie crumbs as the sea floor.

Here is a group shot of all the cakes...

iPhone Family

Well its official. Matt and I are iPhoners. Matt decided to upgrade his phone this weekend and has a nice new iPhone of his very own.

Here's the difference between Matt and I...

When I got my iPhone I was playing with it in the car and trying out all different things without reading any instructions or anything.

This is Matt.

Matt is making a list of all the things he needs to switch over to his new phone... 15 pages to be exact.
