Filipino Prisoners Pay Tribute To MJ

The Filipino Prisoners doing the "Thriller" dance has been a YouTube hit for years now, I in fact watched it again with friends this weekend. Well upon hearing the news that Michael Jackson had passed the prisoners practiced nine hours on Friday night and into the early morning hours of Saturday according to the USA Today.

What a Week for Hollywood

Sad news out of Hollywood this week. Unless you don't have TV, internet, or a radio then you know I am referring to the sudden death of Michael Jackson. Also, today Farrah Fawcett passed away from cancer and Ed McMahon died earlier this week.

RIP Michael, Farrah, and Ed.

Dear Super Walmart...

Dear Super Walmart,

I am on to what you are doing. You cannot fool me. I am aware of your tricks. When your new store arrived I went in and the first thing that I noticed is that you have gotten rid of your hand shopping baskets. How dare you!

Well I thought I was the only person to notice this, but no! There are a ton of angry shoppers on the interwebs that have notice this as well. You see here is the deal: Walmart got rid of their hand baskets and have introduced GIANT shopping carts, which they think if you are pushing it you will fill it to the brim. Well guess what Walmart, not this chick. I will walk around with crap spilling out of my arms before I will push one of your godzilla sized shopping carts. Which translates into me buying less. Jerks.

But guess what... I have one up'd you Walmart! The Container Store feels my pain and offers these wonderful little shopping baskets in awesome colors, they also collapse for easy storage. I ordered 2.



Now when I buy what I need to buy I will not need a huge cart, or your plastic bags!

Michael Jordan to the Rescue

As most of you know, I read a lot of blogs. I mean a lot. Matt and I both do, but his are always about the law and politics and mine are more, well, random.

New Quilt Pattern

Today Matt and I were super busy. Matt and I washed and vacuumed all 3 cars,. Then while Matt was finishing washing the cars I straightened out the laundry room and made lunch. After lunch I decided to try a new pattern I have falling in love with...

Tomorrow is the last day of school. Only a 1/2 day, the kids get out at noon but teachers work a full day. That is actually a great thing because I have a great deal to do to close out the year. I also have a workday Thursday, and then summer begins! Sweet!

The Tonight Show

For as long as I can remember I have watched The Late Show with David Letterman and then turned the channel to catch Late Night with Conan O'Brien. Now my channel surfing has changed...



Tonight Conan took over The Tonight Show, and it is awesome. Will Ferrell is his first ever guest, and the musical guest is Pearl Jam. What a line up! I wonder if Andy Richter is going to be a permanent fixture or is he is here just because its the first show. Does anyone remember when he co-hosted Late Night?
